Schorl, Beryl Pit, near Quadeville, Ontario
A typical prismatic schorl, 6 cm long, and some triangular cross-sections, in pale smoky quartz, found on the dumps around the late 80's or early 90's

An amazing terminated crystal, 5 cm across, showing flat terminal faces and striated prism faces

View of the prism face of a large, triangular xl section, 55 mm across, found loose on the dumps in 2004
Fractured and healed with white albite and quartz, one reason for the lack of large complete xls!
